Five HRMS vendors high-growth companies should investigate

High-growth companies need an HCM that will mirror a similar working style and goals. Here are five companies that come to the table with solutions that will support a fast-paced business in an efficient manner.

1. Namely

Namely has been providing HCM solutions for four years. During that time the company has become the leading platform for mid-size customers with over 600 clients. Ease of use is its focus, the user experience is meant to rival social media apps in robust design. Behind the scenes it follows the same path as its open API coding enables seamless integration and allows for apps to be built that tap into HR data in a smart manner.

Like many high growth companies, Namely has grown quickly and vendor training options have only been running since mid-2015 so there is not a long track record in this area.

2. SutiHR

SutiHR is a full lifecycle HCM that covers the primary HR functionalities and includes helpful functionality to fully automate and complete processes, such as incorporating esignature and secure document management. It offers a transparent pricing model where customers can flex up or down with employee counts or functionality as needs change.

SutiHR is continuing to build out its core products and functionality and has been highly focused on its expense module recently. If you are in the market for a standalone HCM you may want to find a company putting all of its design and development efforts on that focus.

3. SimpleHR

SimpleHR is a 12 year old vendor that provides HR, benefits and payroll support in an outsourced model. As SimpleHR has volume discounts companies can benefit from attractive packages for health, life, disability, employee assistance programs and 401k plans.

As SimpleHR is an outsourced provider organizations are only able to use the services as designed. There is no opportunity to add company specific customizations which will be a challenge for companies wanting to deliver a highly specialized brand experience.

4. APS

APS Workforce Management Solutions has its origins as a payroll management firm which has expanded into a full service hire to retire workforce administration system. APS covers US-centric compliance needs such as FLSA but is limited in compliance options outside of the US.

5. Zenefits

Zenefits is a forward thinking HCM for entrepreneurs designed around an apps-based user experience. It offers a range of HR tasks presented in a user friendly and intuitive manner.

Zenefits is able to offer payroll functionality in the state of California as well as vacation, sick, and personal leave that are compliant with regulations. Only California is available so companies in need of multi-state functionality may need to be patient or go with another solution.
